It had been too long since I'd seen Paul but the passage of time had not eroded any of the wonderful memories of spending time with him and Lynette through the Leeds Uni days and beyond. He was always charming, positive and possessed a wonderful dry wit....and was the best left back a team manager could ever wish for. Rest in peace Paul Dave Smith

I have sat staring at this empty space for minutes now trying to think of some words to say about how desperately sad I am about losing my friend of nearly 40 years, far too soon. However, despite meeting Paul at Leeds University and therefore being supposedly educated, I can not compose a thought to adequately express my feelings. RIP Paul, my friend and I will always remember that "Cheesy" grin. Michael
